Torque tools need routine calibration, even with proper care and use. The reason why torque tools require calibration is to maintain accuracy and repeatability. This is also the case for manual tools.
The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) states that a torque wrench must be calibrated every 12 months or 5,000 uses. While not every tool has such standards, all torque tools require routine calibration, no matter how often you use them or how you store them. Skipping these routine calibrations can increase the risk of bolt failure.
kNm Hydraulikk can calibrate all models. Periodic calibration of torque tools assures you that the equipment is in proper condition and that you achieve the set torque within given tolerances.
After certification, kNm Hydraulikk issues a calibration certificate, which documents that the tool complies with the factory specifications. All documentation is traceable and stored electronically on our servers.
